Domestic terminal 1 is the departure/arrival gate for flights to provincial areas such as Kyushu, Shikoku, Nigata,and Sendai. Terminal 2 serves flights to metropolitan areas such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo.
A free shuttle bus service circulates every 10 minutes between domestic and international terminals.

From Hakata Station, you can take trains of Sanyo Shikansen line, Kagoshima main line, Sasaguri line (Fukuhoku Yutaka line) and Fukuoka-minami line.
You can also make a transfer to Kyushu Shinkansen by Relay Tsubame traveling via Shin-Yatsushiro, to Oita (Nippo line) via Kokura station and also to Nagasaki (Nagasaki main line) via Tosu station.
