Summary
Futsukaichi has been well known by the local people as a hot spring town with a history of about 650 years long. It is easily accessible by train from Fukuoka city (13 minutes) and by bus from Fukuoka airport (25 minutes). It is also 15 minutes drive to Dazaifu. This is an urban resort area.
Daimaru Besso is in this area and has been in business for 150 years. This Japanese-style ryokan (inn) has a long tradition, boasting a large Japanese garden and the old wooden building from Taisho period (1912-1926) equipped with modern facilities. The hot spring here is simple alkaline spring. You can drop-in here just for bathing, business dining and overnight staying.
