Hakata station is the core station of the rail network of Kyushu. The station is now undergoing the renewal for the reopening in the spring of 2011. After renewal, it is going to be 6 times larger than now and become a station building worthy of being called “the gateway of Fukuoka, Kyushu and Asia”. Tokyu Department and T-joy, making a debut in Kyushu, are among the tenants planned to be introduced. Tokyu Hands have also made an agreement on opening the store. This development plan is expected to bring revitalization effect on the surrounding areas. This station will surely make a lot more development in the future.
