Just in the vicinity of this bus stop is Kushida shrine, the grand tutelary of Hakata and Hakata Machiya Furusato Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of Hakata.

Inside the site of Kushida shrine, an excellently decorated float of Hakata Gion Yamakasa is exhibited all through the year. In the neighborhood are also traditional temples including Shotenji and Tochoji, and many shops dealing with traditional crafts of Hakata such as Hakata basami and Hakata dolls.
