Baien is a confectionary shop located on the approach leading to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Many people on the way back from the shrine buy this confection. It is made with top quality ingredients and Baien’s special method. Other popular confections, such as Homanzan, Umemori and Usonomochi, were produced with the inspiration from the surrounding nature and shrine rituals of Dazaifu. They all go well with Japanese green tea.
