This is a branch of Josuian, a traditional confection maker of Hakata, located near Hakata station. Here you can find the sweets that are available only in Hakata such as Tsukushi mochi made with soybean flour and brown sugar syrup, and an azuki bean sweet called Monaka Kuroda-Gojunimangoku which is made with famous branded beans from Hokkaido. Seasonal sweets such as Ichigo daifuku and Budo daifuku (sweet rice cake with strawberry and grape) are also available. This shop with a welcoming atmosphere supports students from abroad by offering 10 percent discount with the presentation of an alien registration card and a student card.
