This is a branch of Josuian, a traditional confection maker of Hakata, located near Hakata station. There are sweets available only in Hakata such as Tsukushi mochi made with soybean flour and brown sugar syrup and azuki bean sweet called Monaka Kuroda-Gojunimangoku made with famous branded beans from Hokkaido. Seasonal sweets such as Ichigo daifuku and Budo daifuku (sweet rice cake with strawberry and grape) are also provided. This shop with a welcoming atmosphere supports students from abroad and 10 percent discount is available with the presentation of an alien registration card and a student card.
