Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Hakozaki, Other area of Higashi-ku
Summary
From the end of September to the end of October, the flower bed of 5000 square meters in the park becomes filled with about 500 thousand of cosmos flowers in blossom. You can also see the fantastically illuminated cosmos during Cosmos Night Carnival. During the season of Rose Festival (early summer: from mid-May to early-June, autumn: from mid-Oct. to early-Sep.), 1500 roses of 91 kinds are in full bloom at the rose garden. You can enjoy herb tea service or you may even be lucky enough to receive a present of cut flowers.

| Access | By Train: Take JR Kashi-line (for Saitozaki) and get off at Uminonakamichi station.
By Ferry: Take Uminaka-line between Bayside Place and Uminonakamichi (20min.) or take Uminaka-line (high-speed boat) between Momochi(Marizon) and Uminonakamichi (20min.). By Bus: Take Nishitetsu bus from Tenjin and get off at Uminonakamichi stop (approx. 50min.). |
