Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Hakozaki, Other area of Higashi-ku
Summary
Chalky shell-shaped aquarium with twenty thousand marine lives in 350 kinds. You can take a close look at divers feeding more than 20 kinds of fishes including 150 sharks in one of the world’s largest fish tank. All-weather marine theater facing Hakata Bay holds dolphin and sea lion shows. Tanken Beach is a newly opened barrier-free facility which reproduces the local beach environment and offers chances of experiencing and learning about beach.
Marine Theater (Show Pool)
This all-weather facility has a seating capacity of 1465 and popular dolphin show is held everyday. Visitors can enjoy watching the dolphins jumping amazingly high and through the hoops, or the sea lion's humorous performance with blue sea of Hakata Bay in the background.
