In summer it has a race against the clock around a set course carrying on their shoulders floats weighting several thousand pounds. It is the oldest festival with a history of over 700 years. In autumn it has a festival where visitors can enjoy home-style traditional Japanese food and traditional show, along with sumo-matches, Japanese national sport, held in November. There might be a chance to see a bit of Japanese tradition.
